MESSAGE FROM THE IN-CHARGE

Autism Care Society Gandaki (ACSG) initially was formed in 2016 as parent support network group under Autism Care Nepal Society Kathmandu aiming to unite families living with child/adult with
Autism at or around Kaski district, Nepal. Later in 2019,it was converted into an autonomous organization registered in Kaski district.

ACSG started a day care centre for children with Autism in 2019 with 5 children affected with severe Autism. Since then the number is growing day per day and currently there are 25 children with autism getting various therauptic services and skills through day care centre. Till now around 15 children with Autism have optimally benefited from this service to be referred in regular pre primary schools.

Along with day care facility, ACSG has been providing free counselling service to many families and referred for diagnosis and intervention through this centre.

ACSG has been providing Parent Child Training Program(PCTP) to the families with Autism living at and around Gandaki region through our certified and qualified trainers. PCTP is a 10 week long training service to the parent along with children with autism. Through this training, the parent are taught and handed over the necessary knowledge and skills required to handle and manage the behavior of their children. Till now more than 100 families have benefited from this training.

ACSG has been participating in various Autism Awareness, Autism Orientation and Advocacy programs in Gandaki province and nation wise. It also aims to provide as many services as possible in education, intervention/therapies, counselling and conveniences for families with Autism with the goal of making autism friendly society.
